Frontend Developer

I started out building technology for Marketing, and the visibility of that work led me to CDT Digital, the product for opening a certificate of deposit (CDT) 100% online.

  1. Jun 2022 — 2023

    Technology for Marketing

    My first year was in the Marketing department, integrating the bank with marketing service providers and building internal platforms for the team. That work got noticed by other senior management areas and opened the door to CDT Digital.

    • Internal platform to create and manage UTMs for marketing campaigns.
    • Integrations with marketing service providers.
    • The bank's own version of the digital Christmas novena.

    • One Christmas novena, eight brands

      A mobile-first app for praying the novena, a Colombian Christmas prayer tradition, with each company's logo, colors and illustrations. It started as a template, and I rewrote it from Create React App to Vite.

  2. 2023 — Oct 2024

    CDT Digital

    On the CDT Digital team, we built the MVP and then the improved version of the product that lets customers open a CDT on the web, quickly and securely. We worked with TDD, a methodology that was new to me and turned out to be the best I've used, under a bank's quality and information security controls.

    • Over COP 2 billion (≈ USD 500K) raised in the first two years.
    • The bank's best product three years in a row; the team won an award.
    • Still in production exactly as we left it.

      We built the entire product, from the full frontend to the integrations with the bank's core systems. It was the bank's best product three years in a row, the team won an award for it, and it's still in production exactly as we built it.
